Sometimes I’m sure my calling in life was bus driver. I’ve often joked about having a ‘bus’ butt and I’m working successfully on reducing that joke! Seriously though where is the year flying, so fast!
I’ve spent most of February settling kids back into a new school year, ensuring annual dental checks are achieved and sorting a new adventure for two of the kids who have jumped into the world of acting. Somehow I was roped into the dental checkup by a bossy receptionist too. (bossy in a caring manner).
I’m slowly yet consistently hammering away at the excess kilo’s that have snuck on to the body over the past 8 years, before that I achieved a healthy, fit level that went out the window when I took on the massive challenge of taking on a sibling group which resulted in raising 6 kids under the age of 6 (at that time).
We are in a flurry of attending acting classes for ‘action man’ and rehearsals for Tristan who will soon take to the stage as HOOK in the ever and always popular Peter Pan. March is just around the corner and with it the HeartKidsWA Ball and am I ever excited. I’ve booked the weekend as off-duty to spend a quality weekend with my precious Hubby .
Before then though I have to get through this week. Two commence university this week (YAY from a mum who hasn’t had the house to herself since October last year).
We also have two very important days this week, actually three. Wednesday it’s TJTeen’s 17th birthday and on Thursday I turn a corner stamped ’45 years old.’ Then a few days to recover before it’s Space Boy’s birthday on March 1st. What a week!
I have no idea what I’m wearing to the Ball, I wish I had a Fairy Godmother with a magic wand. I have my priorities in order, despite claiming I would never again have my nails done I have done just the opposite. Just in time for the Ball and in memory of my HeartKid Angel Reuben.
So, I’ve scheduled gym visits in as important appointments, because they are important aren’t they? It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I’m totally addicted to the massage chair.
It’s only Monday and I’m full steam ahead. I hope your week is shaping up to be positive and full of adventure.
